HVAC Controls & Sensors Replacement Guide
Control boards, sensors, transformers and control components must be matched by exact service part number, equipment identity and operating specification—not visual similarity.
Start with model, serial and exact MPN
Record the complete equipment model and serial plus every character from the original service label. Distinguish service numbers from bare-board, casting or supplier markings.
Control boards and modules
Confirm board function, revision, input voltage, terminals, connector layout, firmware or configuration requirements and documented supersession.
Sensors, probes and switches
Verify measured function, operating range, resistance curve or output, switch point, connector, lead length, probe dimensions, mounting and installation location.
Transformers and control power
Match primary and secondary voltage, VA rating, frequency, protection, terminals and mounting. One matching value does not establish interchangeability.
Shop and request assistance
Browse control boards, transformers, Carrier sensors, Trane sensors, Lennox sensors and Rheem/Ruud sensors. Request part identification when specifications or supersession cannot be confirmed.
